DOKI Living (EuroStyl) is a multi-phase mixed-use development located in the heart of Gdansk’s historic shipyard district. Each stage contributes a new layer to this evolving urban environment, responding to the surrounding architecture.
In this phase, the project focused on two complementary dimensions of spatial communication: large-scale environmental graphics and a typography-based signage system.
The garage became a key canvas for expressing the character of the former shipyard. Rather than literally recreating industrial forms in the wayfinding, we reinterpreted characteristic elements – crane silhouettes, dock structures and the rhythmic geometry of steel frameworks. These large-format graphics anchor the space within its historical context and subtly supporting orientation. Graphic zones guide users intuitively, creating a connection between everyday movement and the memory of the shipyard landscape.
At the same time, the typographic layer of the identity was further strengthened. The entire signage system is built around TT Tricks (TypeType). It is a typeface featuring multiple stencil variations that reference technical and industrial markings once present in production spaces. Its distinctive cuts and structural rhythm form the visual language. This logic extends into a custom set of pictograms derived directly from the geometry of the letterforms.
Together, these two layers create a site-specific wayfinding system in which atmosphere and clarity work hand in hand. The graphics shape the spatial experience, resulting in navigation that is intuitive, visually unified and deeply connected to the industrial identity of the investments.
