Book Fairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are an international events that offer their visitors an exceptional opportunity to discover a diverse selection of local and international publishers, connect with authors and readers, and explore the latest literary releases. They are organized by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, in Jeddah, Medinah and Riyadh City.
These are among the largest book fairs in the world. Medinah Book Fair 2024 gathered 170,000 attendees, showcasing offerings from 300 publishers. Jeddah Book Fair attracted over 1,000 publishers from 22 countries and featured a rich cultural program. The biggest event was the Riyadh International Book Fair, which welcomed over a million visitors during its duration!
We had the opportunity to design a comprehensive signage system for all these events, ensuring visual consistency and helping visitors navigate the fair spaces with ease.
We developed a signage placement strategy, designed the key visual concept, created unique pictograms, original maps, and dozens of directional signs for all fair venues. Each event shared the same branding but was distinguished by a unique color scheme that highlighted its individual character. This approach allowed us to maintain a unified visual identity while emphasizing the distinctiveness of each fair.
