System informacji wizualnej w Muzeum Historii Żydów Polskich POLIN w Warszawie

The Museum of the History of Polish Jews (POLIN Museum) is the first and only museum dedicated to restoring the memory of the civilization created by Polish Jews. The idea was to make the signage system consistent with the architecture and all interior finishing materials created by Lahdelma & Mahlamäki and Kuryłowicz & Associates.

It was equally important that the system referred to the existing design – in colors, typeface, etc. To make our message more consistent we have prepared a unique set of pictograms – their shapes (based on the elements of the typeface used by the museum) came directly from design solutions previously used by POLIN. Visual references to the architecture of the building can be seen primarily in the copper elements appearing in the entire system.
